I was initially very daunted about returning to the gym after so many years away from it. As a woman of a certain age with all the complications of life and experiences, you hope that when you make the commitment to make changes and take yourself out of your comfort zone, that you will do that with great support. Vicky was my cheerleader in that. We made such a great connection from the beginning. She understood the journey I wanted to go on, my insecurities and thankfully my humour. It was her belief in my ability to achieve my goals, her humour, her sensitivity and her drive to empower me as a woman that made that journey so impactful. I have not completed my journey as life has created a temporary diversion, but I know when I'm ready to continue that I can guarantee Vicky has my back and will champion me once again.
